Meet Shep Rose's Girlfriend: "She's Making it Very Easy to Change"
The Southern Charm cast member is off the market and dating Taylor.
Well, it appears that Shep Rose has met his match. The Southern Charm cast member has a girlfriend and is dating Taylor. He shared all about their relationship during the October 29 Season 7 premiere.
"I was on Sullivan's Island and there's these two girls at the bar. I was like, 'Who the hell is that?'" he recalled of his first meeting with Taylor, which included her lying about being a marine biologist who happens to be an expert in shark sex, which seemed to amuse Shep. "And then we started seeing each other a little bit here and there — and then it became more and then it became more. And now she's at my house five nights a week."
The longtime bachelor added that the romance is helping him grow and evolve. "I'm sort of finding my feet with Taylor 'cause I've been so single minded — and single — for so long that it's hard to change. But she's making it very easy to change, which is kind of the whole point."
It is also confirmed in the episode that Shep has started going to therapy. "I can take things too far," he said in interview in the October 29 episode. "If something gets underneath my skin, I can lash out — and last year it went to place where I behaved like a dumbass. I wanted to slow the process of becoming an angry old man. That's not who I want to be. That's not who I am. But I was starting to show signs."
In the episode, Craig Conover noted that the combination of therapy and Shep's relationship has definitely made him a better person.
"So, you know, I cut off Shep for months. I was like, 'Dude you have an attitude problem,'" Craig recalled in the episode, noting that he was willing to let Shep back in if he changed. Craig also added that Taylor is a big reason why Shep and him are friends again since it seems to have settled Shep. "So he started seeing a therapist and he started dating Taylor — and it's made him an exponentially better person."
