Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp Reportedly End Engagement
Meg Ryan was spotted without her engagement ring from the rocker.
Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp have reportedly ended their engagement almost a year after they confirmed their plans to wed. Us Weekly first broke the news, via a source, and ET later reported that the rom-com queen was photographed not wearing the ring that the famed rocker proposed to her with.
Ryan and Mellencamp have been involved with each other for close to a decade. They began dating in 2010, but have broken up and gotten back together several times in that nearly 10-year span. Us Weekly previously reported that the pair rekindled their on-off romance in 2017 before confirming their engagement in November 2018.
Neither star's rep has addressed the reports of their ended engagement as of press time.
Before they ended their engagement, his daughter, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave, spoke a bit about their relationship to Page Six, noting that "they’re very private."
In the same interview from the spring, she opened up about her dad's longtime companion. “When you think of Meg Ryan, she’s like all those things you want her to be. She actually is that person… you know, I just think Meg’s an amazing person," she said. "She’s kind and she’s smart and she’s funny and she’s one of those people that when you’re talking to her, she really listens."
