Meghan King Edmonds Reveals the Inspiration Behind Her Daughter's Name, Aspen
The #RHOC mom shared some details about her tot's unique moniker.
Let's be honest, Aspen King Edmonds is not a name you hear every day, which is part of the reason why Meghan King Edmonds and Jim Edmonds settled on it when naming their daughter, born back in November.
"I came up with a lot of ideas and Jimmy pretty much said no to every single one," The Real Housewives of Orange County mom told The Daily Dish. "There was a couple [of names] that he liked, but that was the one that we both decided on."
So, what is the origin of the one-of-a-kind name? "We were at our house in Idaho and we were just talking about names. And there's Aspen trees right outside the window of our house and we said, 'What about Aspen?' and that was it," she said. "We thought it sounded feminine and unique, but not crazy out there. So we both really liked it."
Last year, Meghan dished a bit more to us about the back story on how her daughter's name came together, and explained why King was the perfect middle name for her daughter. "Her middle name is King. That's her name. Jimmy's like, 'Wait, wait, like aren't we going to talk about her middle name?' And I'm like, 'Do you want to talk about her last name? Like we can change that if you want to talk about her middle name. Otherwise her middle name is King,'" she said.
