Meghan King Edmonds Says She Feels the "Public Tearing Me Down" Amid Her Drama with Jim
The RHOC alum opens up about how fans have reacted to her statements regarding her marriage to Jim Edmonds.
After Meghan King Edmonds discussed having had a threesome with estranged husband Jim Edmonds during their marriage with a woman she claims he's now dating, The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has taken to Instagram to address the response she's received following the emotional reveal on her podcast.
"I’ve listened to the latest Intimate Knowledge Podcast three times and I can’t stop crying each time. Each time I think about it I feel like this," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her crouching next to a giant mural. "I feel small. I feel like a target. And I feel like my opponent is bigger and meaner than me. (But sometimes that 'opponent' comes in the form of the public tearing me down. It hurts, I’m a real person.) Please lift me up today. Thank you for the love."
Since she spoke about that time in her relationship with Jim as well as his alleged new relationship on her podcast, he has responded to her claims, telling PEOPLE, in part, that Meghan "carried on with a few of these women without me being present" and that “as far as threesomes go, there were more than a few initiated by Meghan and only Meghan."
Meghan has also released a statement to PEOPLE in response, saying: “I never initiated anything, I went along with things because I thought that’s what he wanted. I wanted to feel as comfortable as possible. We only had one threesome and only once during our marriage and that was with his current girlfriend. I never carried on with any woman outside of these consensual acts described above,” she said. “I think his attempt to sex shame me illustrates the vile mind of this man. I am the mother of his children and to attempt to exploit deeply personal decisions we made as a couple is his attempt to damage the mother of his children and also attempts to demean me in the most vulnerable way possible: sex.”
Meghan and Jim split in October 2019 after five years of marriage. Together they have three kids, daughter Aspen and twin boys Hart and Hayes.
