Meghan Markle Once Applied to Work at The Wendy Williams Show, Says Wendy Williams
The talk show host cryptically added, "We have her DNA."
Meghan Markle is preparing to become a royal duchess — but things could have been very different for the 36-year-old. According to Wendy Williams, Markle once applied to work at The Wendy Williams Show. And Williams dropped that bombshell with a hefty side of shade.
On February 7, the talk show host dished about Markle with her guest AnnaLynne McCord. McCord had briefly worked with Markle when the latter appeared on 90210 in 2008, which caused Williams to remark, "[Markle has] had quite the past." The talk show host added, "She applied for a job here, too," before concurring: "Random princess." (Insert side-eye emoji.)
This isn't the first time Williams has expressed some degree of hesitation about whether Markle is ready for royalty. Back in December 2017, she said on her show: "I respect Meghan Markle’s hustle and I respect her game. However, she’s a bit of a wild card, you know, because she goes from being the Deal or No Deal girl, so this is a girl looking for game." Hey, lots of our girl crushes have appeared on Deal or No Deal. (We're looking at you, Chrissy Teigen!)
Williams also mentioned Markle's alleged job application in December, stating, "And remember the story here at Wendy. She came here to Wendy to find out what she could do here. She’s been here, she’s been in our building, we have her DNA." Well, that sounds rather ominous!
Our main question is: Which position did Markle apply for on the morning show? Whatever her duties would have been, though, it seems like Prince Harry's future wife landed on her feet just fine.
