This season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Melissa Gorga is hard at work opening up her very first fashion boutique, Envy. But this isn't the first shop to be the talk of the town on RHONJ. How could we ever forget about Posche owned by the cast's frenemy Kim DePaola, a.k.a. Kim D., and its usually drama-filled fashion shows?
Well, it sounds like Melissa has forgotten about Posche and Kim D., who she often came at odds with on RHONJ in the past — or she would like to. When one caller asked if she felt like Envy was in competition with Posche during Sunday's Watch What Happens Live, Melissa had an interesting analogy for Kim D. "No, I think every now and again, a rat needs to come out of the sewer for a piece of cheese," she said.
This comes after Kim D. accused Melissa of interfering with her business in an interview with In Touch earlier this month. “I found out that she was telling Jacqueline [Laurita] and the other girls not to come to my store, not to film there and not to come to my fashion show,” she said.
Kim D. also alleged that Melissa was being disingenuous in some parts of her life. “She’s had four nose jobs but won’t even admit to one,” she told In Touch. “And her relationship with Teresa [Giudice] is fake. They don’t bother with each other off-camera. Teresa can’t stomach the sight of her.”
When Andy Cohen asked Melissa for her thoughts on Kim D.'s comments on WWHL, she used the same rat analogy. And to that, Kim D. seemed to suggest that Melissa knows "everything there is to know about rats" on Twitter Sunday night and in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.
It doesn't sound like these two will be shopping at each other's boutiques anytime soon.
Kim D. isn't the only person Melissa has exchanged words with over her new boutique. Watch what happens when she and her business partner get started on the inventory, below.
