Melissa Gorga Remembers Nonno as "the Only Dad I’ve Known for the Past 16 Years"
“Heaven just gained another angel," wrote the RHONJ mom.
Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga’s father, Giacinto Gorga (lovingly known as Nonno to his The Real Housewives of New Jersey family), passed away on Friday, April 3. Joe's wife Melissa Gorga posted a loving tribute to her father-in-law shortly after Teresa shared the heartbreaking news.
Alongside a collection of sweet photos of Nonno with his family, Melissa opened up about how much their relationship meant to her.
“Heaven just gained another angel. You’ve been the only Dad I’ve known for the past 16 years. You were such an incredible man and such a loving Nonno,” wrote Melissa. “They don’t make them like you anymore. Thank you for teaching my husband how to treat his wife the way you treated yours. Thank you for teaching me how to cook everything I make. Thank you for all the energy you’ve always brought everywhere you went. Run to your wife. She’s waiting for you. RIP We will miss you forever.”
RHONJ cast member Margaret Josephs commented on Melissa’s post, writing, “Heartbroken for your beautiful family. Sending you love and prayers.” Jennifer Aydin also shared her condolences, adding, “I’m so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.”
The news comes shortly after Melissa asked her followers for “extra prayers” for Nonno on her birthday. On March 21, she shared a photo of her daughter, Antonia, with Nonno on a boat.
“He’s the best soul,” Melissa had written at the time. Her husband also commented on the post, adding, “He is the strongest man I know. Sacrificed everything for his family.”
