The Shahs of Sunset cast was joined by a special guest in Part 1 of the Season 8 reunion, which aired on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home. Mike Shouhed's girlfriend, Paulina Ben-Cohen, joined the group to discuss their relationship and all of this season's drama.
While sitting beside Mike, with whom she has been quarantining, along with her two kids, ages 7 and 4, Paulina admitted that she had never watched Shahs of Sunset prior to dating her boyfriend. However, one thing Paulina was well aware of were Mike's "past indiscretions," as host Andy Cohen put it during the reunion, namely, his infidelity during his marriage to Jessica Parido. "Honestly, he was very honest about everything right off the bat, which I truly admired about him," Paulina said during the reunion.
Mike noted that he has no regrets when it comes to his past. "I wouldn't change a day in my life that led me to this place because it made me the man I am," he shared during the reunion. "I did something right, and this is exactly where I was meant to be, and I couldn't feel more blessed."
Mike and Paulina's relationship was put to the test during the group's trip to Hawaii in Season 8. Some tension arose after Mercedes "MJ" Javid made a comment about Mike to Paulina. "MJ, God bless her soul, she's a sweet person, but she loves to test people," Mike reflected on the moment during the reunion. "Anyone new that comes in the group, if it's a female, she feels a little threatened. I don't know why."
However, Mike admitted that the moment "wasn't as bad as" he thought while watching it back later on TV. MJ also clarified her intentions with her conversation with Paulina during the reunion saying that she and Paulina "were having fun" with each other during the trip to Hawaii. "We were drinking, we were surfing, and yeah, I was trying to bond with the only other person at the time that had babies," she explained.
In fact, things are all good between Paulina and MJ these days. "I have no bad feelings for her. I have no problem with her whatsoever," Paulina confirmed, adding that she was being "a little bit more sensitive" in the moment.
Mike and Paulina were able to move past this and are as strong as ever now. Mike even said at the reunion that he hopes a wedding will be in their future. "It's funny, both of us got married at The Biltmore in downtown [Los Angeles]," he recalled. "This time, it's gonna be a small, intimate wedding with just a handful of family and friends, more about us and less about impressing and having guests."
Mike said he would also like to start a family with Paulina one day. "We definitely want to have babies," he shared. "The two she has are so beautiful, so smart, so gifted, that I can't wait to make some of my own soon, hopefully."
After Paulina left the reunion, Mike noted, "This is the first year that I've ever had a significant other on the reunion."
Andy quickly corrected him. "Uh, excuse me, we tried to get Jessica that year," Andy said, before a flashback to the Shahs of Sunset Season 4 reunion appeared on the screen.
"But I wasn't gonna let you!" Mike chimed in with a smile.
Paulina had one last thing to say about that moment with Jessica before she exited the reunion. "Can we stop talking about her, please?" Paulina joked.
