Meredith Marks Reflects on Sharing the News of Her Separation from Seth on RHOSLC
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member got real about her marriage.
Meredith Marks is opening up about sharing with the world during Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City the fact that she and her husband, Seth Marks, had separated.
In the November 18 episode of RHOSLC, during an interview, Meredith opened up about her separation: "There's not one thing I can say that really triggered our separation because over the years it just broke down. We moved many times. We kind of were uprooted and I was trying to start my company; he was running his business. We had the three kids. There was just no communication and hostility built and built and built. And we just sort of got totally overwhelmed that we really just were completely disconnected."
Seth added in interview, "I like to have a life partner and a soulmate to share everything with, so I hate being separated. But at the same time I'm not dating anyone else, and I sure as hell hope you're not."
In the episode, Meredith told Seth over dinner that she's kept the separation quiet among her friends.
Meredith and Seth are parents to three grown kids: Reid, Chloe and Brooks.
She spoke to ET about her longtime partner, noting that fans will learn more about their situation as the season progresses. "Seth and I met, we met when we were 23 years old," Meredith said. "We have grown up together, so no matter what happens between us, we are always, like, childhood friends almost, in a weird way."
She added in an interview with Us Weekly that being candid about her marriage to Seth on the show "was a very big deal for me and it was hard. It was not something I was accustomed to talking about."
In a video first shared with Bravo Insider members, Meredith and the other RHOSLC 'Wives open up about their significant others.
