In Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, entrepreneur Meredith Marks didn't hesitate to let people know how she was feeling. This was especially true on the cast trip to Palm Springs, where one group dinner introduced the world to "rumors and nastiness," as well as the instant-classic, "you can leave!"
So, obviously, we had to adorn the perfect sweatshirt and tee with "you can leave" for fans to rock during their next RHOSLC marathon.
Now, how exactly did things escalate to this point? Let's dive into it like it's an all-pink motel pool.

Why did Meredith Marks say "You can leave" on RHOSLC?
Early on in Season 4, the relationship between Meredith and Angie Katsanevas had grown frosty. When Whitney Rose secretly invited the salon owner to the Palm Springs getaway Meredith had planned for the girls, the jewelry designer was not happy about it.
After a draining day full of girls' trip activities, the situation wasn't any lighter. Regardless of what the group tried to talk about, the conversation kept growing heated between the two — a situation that only escalated when Angie's "fun" toast to her fellow cast members included a dig at Meredith.
At that point, Meredith had had enough of her surprise guest, and let everyone know it. "If you feel that way, you can leave," she announced, staring intensely at Angie. Then she said it again, emphatically: "You. Can. Leave!"
It soon became obvious that Angie wasn't leaving, Meredith got up from the table asked security (who turned out to be the restaurant’s wait staff, and was definitely not security) to remove her. This led to Meredith storming out of the restaurant, with on-again-off-again bestie Lisa Barlow not far behind her. And that is where the "rumors and nastiness" moment, which Meredith herself poked fun at after it went viral, came from.
Drama? Storming off? Over-the-top outfits? For the RHOSLC cast, it was just another dinner. But for fans, it's a show-stopping moment that will live on in infamy.
