This Is Why Mike Shouhed and Reza Farahan Cried Together During BravoCon
The Shahs of Sunset pals reflect on the conversation that led to tears.
Mike Shouhed and Reza Farahan cleared the air once and for all about what really went down between them at BravoCon 2019.
"I read that you guys had a big blow-up at BravoCon, is that right?" Andy Cohen asked the Shahs of Sunset guys during Part 1 of the Season 8 reunion, which aired on July 19 during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.
"Categorically false," Reza clarified. "We had no blow-out at BravoCon. We had a conversation that got very emotional. Both of us cried."
Mike then offered up all the details on the emotional encounter, which happened after they had not spoken for a little bit of time.
"I'll tell you what happened at BravoCon. I had stopped at a level in the elevator by accident and who is there with his coffee is Reza. And he looks at me; I look at him. I go, 'We need to talk.' And he came into the elevator and he followed me to my room. I asked [girlfriend] Paulina [Ben-Cohen] to excuse herself for a minute and we sat down and we literally cried like two babies."
The reconciliation happened, Mike noted, because "I genuinely love him. We've been through a lot together. He's my brother."
Mike reflected on his years of friendship with Reza during the reunion. "Me and him connected on a deeper level than I can ever put into words or articulate," he said. "He helped me in a time when I needed it. He was a shoulder I cried on. He helped me up. He made me realize; he had conversations with me; he checked in on me. And he was my closest, closest friend."
Apparently that support has gone both ways. "It wasn't just me that helped him. He helped me too," Reza said, with tears in his eyes. "He is f--king amazing. As much as I did for him, he did twice as much for me. He has two brothers. I have none. He has been that person to me."
