Mystery Revealed: We Now Know the Reason Behind Miley Cyrus' "Wedding Dress"
Surprise, surprise — it's to promote her new single, of course.
When Miley Cyrus' father Billy Ray Cyrus posted a picture of Miley to Instagram back in March in what everyone thought was a wedding dress, her mom Tish Cyrus had to quickly quell rumors that she had gotten married.
“If Miley was getting married, it would not be in that dress!” Tish told ET.
Miley's sister Brandi Cyrus agreed that she "would have had some fabulous wedding dress, not just like [the] frilly top she was wearing in a photo."
Tish and Brandi were telling the truth, which was revealed today when Miley posted the video for her new single "Malibu," in which she's wearing the dress.
If you hadn't already gotten the memo that she'd kissed her hip-hop days goodbye, the mellow love song, white outfits, and fresh start vibe of "Malibu" will certainly all hammer the point home.
