Monica Garcia Suffers Miscarriage with Baby No. 5: "I'm Still Processing"
The RHOSLC mom shared the heartbreaking news just weeks after confirming her pregnancy.
Monica Garcia is mourning a tragic loss.
On Sunday, April 28, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City mom revealed she had suffered a miscarriage with baby No. 5. Monica shared the heartbreaking news in a lengthy Instagram post, just weeks after she announced the pregnancy.
Monica Garcia confirms pregnancy loss
“One thing I promised myself when opening my life up to all of you was that I was going to do it completely unapologetically and authentically raw as possible,” she wrote. “I would show you my life in all aspects because that is what I agreed to do. Unfortunately, today I need to share a very heartbreaking aspect. ‘There is no heartbeat.’”
She continued: “I don’t have many words and I’m still processing all of this myself. As quickly as this happened, that’s how quickly things have changed. I am sending so much love to everyone dealing with miscarriages, fertility issues, pregnancy problems, if you have an angel baby, and everything in-between.”

Monica went on to say she was thankful for her support system as well as all the “incredible doctors” who helped her through the first trimester.
“I appreciate how beautiful you all have been to me about this baby,” she concluded. “I love you and I’m so thankful for you.”
The emotional post included a photo of Monica lying on an exam table while looking at an ultrasound image.
Monica Garcia details relationship with her boyfriend, Braxton
The Salt Lake City ’Wife was expecting the baby with her boyfriend, Braxton Knight, a 29-year-old Utahn she met while filming RHOSLC Season 4. She spoke about the relationship during the April 11 episode of The Viall Files, where she also announced her pregnancy news.
“[Braxton] has been incredible,” she told host Nick Viall at the time. “The second we found out [about the pregnancy], he just was so protective and so caring and he just dove into research because he’s like, ‘I know nothing about any of this, or pregnancy, or babies.’ He’s like, ‘Babies don’t even like me,’ and I’m like, stop. It’ll be fine. But he was also very much like, ‘Your body, your choice, whatever you choose. I’m just here to be your support system and partner through it.’”
Monica said she was about seven weeks pregnant at the time of the interview.
The Boston native is mom to four daughters: Kendall, West, and Jaidyn, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Mike Fowler; as well as her oldest child, Bri, from a previous relationship.
