Heather Gay and Whitney Rose's Friendship Status
After getting into a major disagreement about what Heather wrote about Whitney in her book, Bad Mormon, on the penultimate episode, the cousins' resolved their differences during the finale.
"I am sorry that I upset you so badly last night," Whitney told Heather in the morning on the last full day of the trip. "I honestly did not expect that reaction."
"I know; That reaction surprised even me," Heather responded. Whitney explained that it "hurt [her] feelings" to read what Heather wrote, and the bestselling author apologized for how the drama escalated between them at The Swizzle Inn.
"Cousins forever," Heather said, and the relatives officially got back on track in their relationship.
The family members weren't the only ones who made amends on the finale. Whitney and Lisa also moved forward in their friendship, as did Meredith and Heather.
Heather Gay's Mystery Phone Call, Revealed
One hour after the ladies tried out moped driving and went on a shopping excursion, Heather received a phone call in her room.
"Hey," she said once she answered the call. "What did you find out?"
After the mystery caller responded, Heather asked, "Are you kidding me right now?"
"Shut the f-ck up," she continued. "I'm trembling, like, trembling. I cannot believe it's her. How could she do this to us? I'm freaking the f-ck out. I'm freaking the f-ck out."
When members of production located Heather on her balcony, the mom of three urged them to leave.
"I just got this devastating information," Heather explained in an interview on the episode about what she learned. "And my head is swimming. But, it's too big, too damning, and I have to deal with it. But, what's about to go down, it could change our friendships forever."
What Heather Gay Revealed About Monica Garcia's Instagram Account
Before the Season 4 cast gathered for their final dinner, Heather gathered fellow O.G. castmates Meredith, Lisa, and Whitney for a serious discussion on the beach.
"There's something I need to tell you guys, and it's big, and it's not good," she told them. "You guys, we've come a long way, us four. We have, and Monica is not who she says she is. She's not our friend. She's someone [who] has schemed and worked to infiltrate our friend group."
"The name that you all know her as, the woman whose birthday we celebrated, who we've been trying to champion and support and defend, is Reality Von Tease," Heather added, and the ladies were all shocked to hear the news.
"I'm freaking out. I am so tired of people trying to hurt us," Meredith said. "This is so f-cked up."
Heather then explained in an interview on the episode that, "Reality Von Tease was an Instagram account that was created over three years ago... It quickly expanded to troll all of us. Me, Whitney, Meredith, Lisa. These were character assassinations. They may not have created this content, but they made sure to re-post every hateful thing they could find about us. But, we never knew who it was."
She found out the information because Monica was apparently close friends with Heather's hairstylist. When Heather began to question some of the things that Monica was saying about fake accounts and mysterious DMs, she called the hairstylist, who "had a crisis of conscience and came clean."
"Within minutes, my phone was flooded with screenshots, text messages, audio recordings, videos, photos, DMs. Volumes of evidence exposing Monica," she continued. "I was devastated."
Monica Garcia Addresses Her Burner "Finsta" Account
At the ladies' Bermuda Triangle-themed dinner on the last night of their trip, host Heather gave each of the women a doll that represented one of their fellow castmates. Though Heather had Meredith's doll, she turned her attention towards a different cast member.
"The mystery for me with Monica is, 'Who is the real Monica?'" Heather asked. "When I met you, we kind of bonded over being single moms, moms of daughters, and we really had a great time — lots of fun, charming, funny, witty. Smarter than, probably, people think. And I thought [you were] pretty much an open book, [a] truth-teller. But, I don't feel like that's who the real Monica is. The real Monica is someone who really doesn't want to be our friend, but wants to profit from our lives and our pain. I know who you really are, and who you really are is the cyberbully, internet troll Reality Von Tease."
"That's not true, entirely," Monica said. As she elaborated in an interview, "Von Tease was never just one person."
"It wasn't just me," she said, and she later noted that she was not the one who actually started the account. "There [were] several other humans involved... the other women were just collateral damage."
Heather Gay Shares New Insight Into Her Black Eye
While confronting Monica about the Instagram account, Heather revealed a new piece of information regarding the black eye she got during Season 3.
Once Heather revealed the news, a few of her castmates had strong reactions.
"Woah, woah," Lisa said when she heard the news, while Meredith simply said, "What?"
Monica Garcia Teases That There's "More to the Story" and Reunion Tease
Though viewers finally got some answers regarding Heather's mysterious phone call, Monica teased that there's a lot more to be revealed during the upcoming reunion.
"I, more than anyone, know that nothing stays in the dark, and everything comes to light. I knew that this information would come out. Even Gossip Girl couldn't stay Gossip Girl forever," Monica said in her final interview on the season.
"There is so much more I wanted to say, but I knew I wasn't gonna be heard at all. There are a lot of things that I could have said," she added. "That was not the time, but there is so much more to the story that needs to be said, and, trust me, you're all gonna want to hear it."
The three-part reunion for RHOSLC Season 4 kicks off on Tuesday, January 9 at 8/7c. Stream episodes the next day on Peacock.
