These red carpet transformations will certainly surprise you.
Like clockwork, the dog days of summer arrive and, just like that, the red carpet is rolled out for the MTV Video Music Awards. With so many superstars slated to appear at the award show this year, we decided to take a look back at what some of the 2016 nominees and performers looked like at their first-ever trip to the VMAs. From Britney Spears to Beyoncé and Rihanna, some of these A-listers’ VMA debuts were glitzy, and, well, some were less so. (We're looking at you Kanye West; but just keep doing you.) As you’ll see, not everyone is so recognizable from their splashy VMAs premiere.
