Gregg Leakes Breaks Down Talking About His Fight with Cancer

Since NeNe Leakes confirmed in June that her husband, Gregg Leakes, has cancer, The Real Housewives of Atlanta couple has been open about his health and their journey to fight the disease. Now in an interview with Us Weekly, NeNe is sharing an update on how Gregg is doing and how his cancer has affected her.

“It’s like a roller coaster,” she admitted. “We have good days, then we have bad days. I feel alone.”

She previously opened up about feeling alone during their cancer fight in an Instagram post. "I’ve felt lost and alone not to mention the roller coaster of feelings my hubby Gregg has had! He’s Definitely felt isolated from the rest of the world, mad, sad, depressed and left with asking why me!" she wrote.

Fortunately, NeNe isn't completely on her own and she has learned to rely on her friends during this time. She said she turned to fellow Atlanta 'Wife Cynthia Bailey and friend Marlo Hampton for comfort. “I need a f--ing support system,” she told Us Weekly. “Sisterhood, you really see it. We have an amazing bond this season.”

NeNe thanked Cynthia and Marlo for their support in an Instagram post following Gregg's cancer surgery in September. "Cynthia and Marlo you showed the definition of a real FRIEND yesterday! From Marlo decorating Gregg’s hospital room to Cynthia helping Gregg sip water from a cup! You both provided love, laughs and comfort all while driving me crazy to having Gregg put us out his room. No matter what, I want to say THANK YOU! It feels good to have friends like you around in a time of need. It meant a lot and I will never forget it," she wrote.

Gregg's cancer will be discussed in RHOA Season 11, premiering November 4 at 8/7c. Check out a preview above and follow his health scares and cancer journey below.
