Why Didn't Nene Leakes Want Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams in Her Closet Anyway?
Nene Leakes explains her actions during The Real Housewives of Atlanta Bye Wig party at her house.
After getting off to a rocky start, Nene Leakes' Bye Wig party came to an even more fiery end when Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams wanted to go inside her much-talked-about closet. Though Nene asked Kandi and Porsha not to take a peek inside her closet, they entered the room anyway, causing their host to try to get them out of the closet, resulting in a ton of chaos for the Georgia Peaches.
Nene looked back on the incident during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday night after host Andy Cohen asked if she thought she overreacted in the moment (clip above). "How are you gonna overreact in your own home? If I tell you to visit me and sit right here, you need to sit right here. You don't have the right to go through my house and open up my doors, my closets, my pantries, none of that," she said. "And the one thing these girls have, they are disrespecting each other's homes when they visit them. Shereé [Whitfield]'s house was disrespected, Kenya [Moore]'s house was disrespected. When you come to my house, you're not going to disrespect my home. So they were not in the right. First of all, they weren't even invited upstairs; they just came upstairs on their own."
The fact that 82 percent of the WWHL audience was on Kandi and Porsha's side after being polled during the episode did not sway Nene's opinion at all. "I don't give a damn about this poll," she said in response. "How are you gonna be on their side? They didn't have the right to walk in my house and do whatever they wanted to do. So f--k your poll."
As for why Nene didn't want Kandi and Porsha to go in her closet in the first place, well, we may never know. "I don't even know why I have to explain anything in my house," she said when asked for the reason on WWHL. "If I tell you that you can't go in my closet, you can't go in my closet."
