Earlier this month, Nene Leakes confirmed her exit from The Real Housewives of Atlanta. "I have made the very hard and difficult decision to not be a part of Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 13," Nene said in a YouTube video posted on September 17. "It wasn't an easy decision for me. It was hard."

Now, fans are hearing from Porsha Williams about the departure. Porsha opened up about Nene's exit in the series premiere of Bravo's Chat Room on September 27. Porsha shared that she called Nene after the announcement and revealed some details of their conversation.

"Of course I called her, and of course I'm like, 'Listen, is this forever ever ever? Or is this just for this year?' But either way it goes, listen, I support Nene, and I always [do] no matter our ups or downs. We have [a] big sis, little sis relationship," Porsha shared about the RHOA OG.

Fans will recall that Nene was a cast member in Seasons 1 through 7. She took a couple of seasons off and was back in Season 10. Nene was part of the cast through Season 12, the series' most recent season.

Porsha shouted out that legacy during Bravo's Chat Room: "I always give her the fact that she started this for us in Atlanta."

Nene reflected on her Real Housewives journey in her YouTube Message earlier this month. "I started on The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2008. We took off like a rocket. I mean, we took off," she said. "You could have never told me that I [would have] starred on this little show and it still be going strong 13, 14 years later — and it is. I'm just so happy that I can say that I was a part of a genre that opened up doors for Black ensemble reality shows to step up and be a part of what we all now love so much: reality TV."
