Noelle Robinson Opens Up About How Having Famous Parents Has Affected Friendships
The RHOA daughter says having a famous family has "definitely" impacted the way she meets people.
From giving the world a look at her college experience to coming out as sexually fluid, Cynthia Bailey’s 20-year-old daughter, Noelle Robinson, has shared a lot of her personal life with fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But what has it been like for Noelle to live in the spotlight? She recently opened up about the fact that having famous parents can make new friendships difficult to navigate.
In a YouTube video in which Noelle answered questions about her life, she was asked if she ever gets treated differently or finds it difficult to make friends because of her famous family.
“Yes and no. Like, it just kinda depends. I’ve had friends in the past that have treated me different, or like, just kind of moved funny, but I kinda know how to see that now, like quickly and kinda cut it out,” Noelle explained. “Even now, my circle is full of people that treat me the exact same that they would treat anyone else. But those are the types of people that I want around me.”
Noelle said it definitely took some time to learn how to read potential new friends before getting too close.
“It just kinda took me growing up, and just figuring out, ‘okay like...this is kinda weird. I should not really hang around this person as much if I see that they’re only bringing up my parents 24/7.’ Just like, certain red flags that I’ve learned.”
Going to college and meeting new friends taught Noelle how to set limits with other people.
“I definitely kinda like, created boundaries with people, and boundaries with friendships and relationships and have kinda been like, ‘okay, this is weird that you’re doing this, maybe I should reevaluate your intentions towards me or why you’re doing this.’”
Overall, Noelle says that it has “definitely” impacted the way she meets people, “like a thousand percent.”
