NY Housewives Come Out for Marriage Equality

Bravo stars march for same-sex marriage.

By Kia Wood

White after Labor Day? Only for a cause. Housewives LuAnn, Alex, Sonja and Kelly donned bridal gowns and joined Jill (who went a bit more casual) for Sunday's Marriage Equality Wedding March in New York. The ladies were among hundreds who took to the streets -- and eventually, the Brooklyn Bridge -- to urge New York state to grant same-sex couples the same marriage rights as straight couples.

This was the seventh annual Marriage Equality Wedding March, which rallied in Foley Square before hitting the Brooklyn Bridge, symbolizing the need to bridge the gap between communities. New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer, and Congressman Jerrold Nadler were also there (though clearly they didn't look as fabulous as our girls).
