Olivia Newton-John Gives Her *Honest* Opinion of Grease 2
Did Sandra Dee just throw some shade on #WWHL?
Love it or hate it, Grease 2 happened. Among the film's, uh, misses is the fact that its two leading actors, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, didn't return to reprise their roles as Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson, respectively.
But just because Olivia wasn't a part of Grease 2 doesn't mean we're not absolutely dying to know her true opinion about the sequel. Luckily, Andy Cohen asked her "the million dollar question" about what she honestly thinks of Grease 2 during Tuesday night's Watch What Happens Live via one viewer's text message to the show (clip above). "Uh, not a lot," she said with a laugh.
Oooh, Olivia! She may have been sweet as pie as Sandy in Grease, but she definitely knows how to serve up some shade.
Andy then asked if she was ever told to support the movie after hearing that a sequel to Grease was in the works. "Actually, I kind of remember they did ask us," Olivia revealed. "I think they approached John and I to do it and then it didn't happen and I didn’t think it was going to happen and then they made it with other people. So that's my memory of it."
Just think of the kind of movie Grease 2 could have been with Olivia and John at the helm again. Although, Michelle Pfeiffer, who played Stephanie Zinone, the lead female role in Grease 2, was a pretty darn fierce Pink Lady. Yeah, we said it.
Watch Olivia dish about working with the legendary Gene Kelly on her other famous movie-musical, Xanadu, below.
