Find Out D'Andra Simmons’ Very Surprising Connection to Fashion Royalty

How does the Housewife own that much of this designer's duds?

By Rachael Roberts

If you've watched The Real Housewives of Dallas Season 2 like any good Bravo fan, you've seen D'Andra Simmons' insane collection of designer dresses, worth upwards of 18,000 smackeroos (and which she's trying to sell, by the way). But really attentive Bravo fans may have noticed that she has an incredible amount of original Oscar de la Renta gowns. Take a look at the video above to see gag-worthy limited edition Oscar pieces. But why does the Dallas socialite have that much Oscar?

How to Watch

Catch up on The Real Housewives of Dallas on Peacock or the Bravo App.

Well, on a recent visit to Bravo'sThe Daily Dish podcast, D'Andra revealed the reason why her closet is filled with clothes by the late designer. "Well, a little fun fact, I used to be, before my husband, I'll just say I was engaged to his godson." Well, that explains it! Quite a nice perk if your fiance's godfather is Oscar de la Renta. But sorry folks, while the Housewife is looking to shed some of the designer pieces in her closet, the Oscar is staying. "I have some great Oscar in my closet and I'm not getting rid of the Oscar that he designed before he passed away."
