Randall Emmett's Night at the Oscars Was a "Dream," But the Tears Really Came When He Got Home
Lala Kent's fiancé partied with The Irishman collaborators Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro.
The 92nd Academy Awards was filled with memorable moments during the ceremony on Sunday, February 10, and Lala Kent's fiancé, Randall Emmett, had a front-row seat to it all.
Randall, who was nominated as one of the producers of The Irishman, was thrilled to be topping off a busy awards season with Hollywood's biggest night. "OK, it's happening. The Oscars are here," Randall said in a video on his Instagram Story while showing off his invitation to the event. "We've waited a long time, but regardless, win or lose, blessed to be nominated."
Randall documented his Oscars weekend experience, which included creating a Robert De Niro sandwich with Jax Taylor, walking the Academy Awards red carpet with his fellow producers of The Irishman, including Jane Rosenthal, and photobombing Spike Lee.
Unfortunately, Randall did not walk away with any trophies that night, but he was so happy that Lala could join him for the celebration afterward at Vanity Fair's annual Oscars party where they caught up with The Irishman director Martin Scorsese. "I brought the best Oscar home. I got her right here, my little statue. I love you," Randall gushed to Lala in the car in a video in his Instagram Story. "I'm a nominee forever, but I have you forever, too."
After attending all of the major awards shows with Randall over the past several weeks, Lala was more than ready to close the chapter on awards season 2020. "All right. I came out. I got dressed up. I even gave a little leg action. Lasted one hour. I'm done with it!" Lala said in the car after attending the Vanity Fair Oscars party for about an hour. "That is a wrap on awards season."
When Randall and Lala arrived home after their star-studded night out, they received something even better than an Academy Award: some sweet drawings from Randall's daughters. "You know, I might have not won the Oscar, [but] when you come home to this, you definitely won way more than the Oscar. This is the most beautiful thing you could ever come home to," Randall shared in his Instagram Story. "I thank both my daughters. They are my everything, and this is so awesome. So I think I won tonight."
Lala seconded that on Instagram. "Thank you for a beautiful night, Vanity Fair- but this is the party I really want to be at," she wrote in a post that featured a photo of her back home.
