Padma Lakshmi Welcomes a New Addition to Her Family
The Top Chef host is introducing the "third female in our all-female household."
Padma Lakshmi has just welcomed a new addition to her family. The Top Chef host recently revealed that she adopted a new dog, introducing her as “the third female in our all-female household.”
On November 27, Padma took to Instagram to show off the newest member of her family, sharing a sweet video of her holding the adorable pooch in her arms.
“Okay so I’ve never been much of an animal person... In fact I’ve never even had a pet! In my whole damn life,” Padma explained in the caption, going on to reveal that her daughter, Krishna, has “begged for a dog since she was a toddler. “
After much careful consideration, Padma decided to surprise her daughter with a pet, eventually finding the perfect dog for their family from the New York City-based shelter, Animal Haven. “Please meet Ms Divina Devi Lakshmi, the third female in our all female household. Ruff ruff,” she concluded in the caption of their new furry family member.
Padma also shared a second video, capturing Krishna’s pricess reaction when she met her new dog for the first time. “When we surprised Littlehands with Divina,” she wrote in the caption alongside a heart face emoji.
