Padma Lakshmi Hilariously Reacts to News Her Daughter Won't Return to School Until Fall
The Top Chef mom has a pretty solid cocktail recipe for anyone in the same boat.
Like many parents during this uncertain time, a number of the moms of Bravo have been opening up about their experience homeschooling their children while staying home in self-quarantine to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Phaedra Parks got real about the struggle it has been, saying, “Teaching children is not my ministry,” while The Real Housewives of New Jersey mom Jackie Goldschneider showed how homeschooling has “swallowed” her entire home. Now, Padma Lakshmi is sharing her thoughts in a hilariously relatable way.
The Bravo's Top Chef host recently discovered that her daughter will not be returning to school, at least until September. She reacted to the news with a video posted to Instagram on May 2, in which she shares her tips for crafting a perfect margarita.
“Just found out little hands won’t be going back to school until September,” Padma wrote, teasing, “Wait until the end.”
The video starts out with Padma saying, “We’ve been making a lot of cooking videos, but it’s day 175 of quarantine, so I thought we could all use a drink.” From here, she shared her steps for creating her own version of the classic cocktail. It appears to be a normal tutorial video, until the end, when she begins to chug the tequila straight from the bottle!
Padma added a funny disclaimer to her video, writing, “Please do not try this at home. For entertainment purposes only,” in the caption.
