Padma Lakshmi Reveals Baby Weight Loss Secrets
Top Chef host tackled 70 flights of stairs. Yes, 70.
It's hard enough to fight off televised temptation when watching Top Chef -- having it served up to you week in and week out is another thing altogether. Host Padma Lakshmi admits that indulging in those gourmet guilty pleasures means she'll feel the pain somewhere else later – in her calf muscles.
To combat the extra pounds she packs on each season -- plus get her body back into pre-baby shape since giving birth to daughter Krishna last February -- Padma tells PopEater she engages in a vigorous workout routine.
"I woke up at 6AM, I nursed," the 39-year-old says. "Then I ran up and down 70 flights of stairs. Then I had breakfast, then went to the gym and lifted weights for an hour. Then I walked home."
Seventy flights of stairs and then the gym? No one will ever try to steal Padma's pea puree.
The ex-model has also begun a new form of exercise recently. In early October she tweeted, "Back to boxing after a hiatus and feeling very very sore!!"
Whose food this season was most worth the blood, sweat, and tears? Okay, just the sweat?
"Ed's noodle dish with egg and pork belly from pt.1 of the finale," Padma tweets.
Pardon me while I go dig through a stack of delivery menus.
