During a recent interview with Page Six, the Summer House cast member was pressed about her evolving romance with Southern Charm’s Craig Conover. Since becoming an item in 2021, the Bravo couple has allowed cameras to document the ups and downs of their relationship, including the struggles that come with being long-distance. The issue was heavily explored in Summer House Season 7, when Paige shared her concerns about moving to Craig’s home in Charleston, South Carolina.

The fashion writer, who lives and works in New York City, said her refusal to relocate was met with criticism and false assumptions about her feelings for Craig. She questioned if her boyfriend would’ve received the same reactions had he been in her shoes.

“If the roles were reversed and Craig, as a 30-year-old man, said he wanted to focus on his career and wait to get married, everyone would praise him and tell him he has a good head on his shoulders,” she told the outlet. “But when it comes to me saying it, people assume things: ‘Oh, you don’t love your boyfriend.’ This could not be further from the truth.”

How Is the Couple Handling the Long Distance?

Paige went on to highlight her and Craig’s conflicting work schedules, which include both on- and off-screen gigs. In addition to filming their respective shows, Paige and Craig are also castmates on the Summer House spinoff Winter House.

“Last year, I was on TV from September until the middle of the summer,” she explained. “Craig and I have opposite schedules, so when I’m filming, he’s airing. When I’m airing, he’s filming… We’re a lot better at dating long-distance than we thought we would be. It’s a different experience in your 30s than when you’re in college and you have a long-distance boyfriend who goes to a different school.”

Paige and Craig Agree to Take the Next Step

Although they face a unique set of challenges, the couple has managed to make their relationship work. In the Summer House Season 7 finale, Paige and Craig revisited their concerns and ultimately compromised on their living situation. Rather than permanently relocate, the couple agreed they would cohabitate — as much as they could — in both NYC and Charleston.

“Do you want to move in?” Paige asked her boyfriend.

“I would love that,” Craig replied. “Maybe [the] next time I come, I bring two big suitcases… As long as we’re taking steps getting closer to a point where we can eventually get engaged… I’m not gonna find someone that I like as much as you.”
