Has Phaedra Parks Brought Her Children to Visit Apollo Nida in Prison Yet?
The #RHOA mom reveals whether or not her kids have seen their dad since he entered jail a year-and-a-half ago.
We've seen Phaedra Parks struggle with the idea of allowing her sons Ayden Nida and Dylan Nida to visit their father Apollo Nida in prison this season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. However, the RHOA attorney revealed that her children have now seen their dad since he began his eight-year prison sentence in September 2014. "They visited Apollo. Yes, we visited him in the big house," Phaedra responded to a caller's question on Sunday night's episode of Watch What Happens Live. Phaedra didn't spill too many details about the meeting but did confirm that cameras captured part of the visit, so we should be seeing some of what went down soon enough. But for now, we can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that "it went well," according to Phaedra.
One thing Apollo did not discuss with Phaedra was the fact that Joe Giudice will serve time in the same facility when he begins his 41-month prison sentence next month. "He wasn't thinking about that at all," Phaedra told Andy Cohen.
Overall, Phaedra said motherhood has changed since Apollo went to prison. "I've always been a hands-on mom, and my mother helps me on a weekly basis with the kids. Both of my parents are very active with the children," she explained. "But it's changed because now, of course, I have no free time whatsoever. When Apollo was there, of course, I could leave and go to the grocery store or leave them for a few hours and go do my yoga, whatever, but now you can't do that."
Though it may be challenging, Phaedra has successfully been keeping it together at home for her sons, as she told The Daily Dish last December.
