Porsha Williams Reveals How Fiancé Dennis McKinley Is — and Isn't — Similar to Ex-Husband Kordell Stewart
But there's a major difference between The Real Housewives of Atlanta mom-to-be's relationships.
When we first met Porsha Williams back in Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, she was enjoying her new life as a wife to husband Kordell Stewart. But after Porsha and Kordell got divorced in 2013, we've seen Porsha adapt to the single life, thrive as an independent woman, and now get her happily ever after with her fiancé, Dennis McKinley.
Porsha has already noticed one huge difference between her marriage to Kordell and her relationship with Dennis, which she said should be a good sign of things to come. "With Dennis, I can see that we'll have the team, and that's just something that unfortunately my ex and I couldn't get together, the team part," Porsha shared during The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 After Show, which you can view, above.
But Porsha has noticed that Dennis shares some similarities with Kordell, too — and that isn't necessarily a bad thing. "Well, you know, for me to compare Dennis to my ex-husband, I would have to go back to my father [Hosea Williams II] because [your] father is someone who you kind of get characteristics in what you like in a man. So I wanted a powerful man, I wanted a man who had authority and could lead the family, and one of those manly men, et cetera," she explained. "So those are qualities that my ex had that I would also say that Dennis has. I can see that he can lead this family, and I can trust him to lead the family; we just have to do it as a team. And I think Dennis and I get that. He gets that I want him to be the man of the house."
Porsha has reflected a lot on her marriage to Kordell this season of RHOA as she prepares to become a wife again and a mom to her first child with Dennis. So has Kordell congratulated her on her major milestones to come? Porsha revealed all during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this month. Check it out, below.
