Porsha Williams Reflects on Daughter Pilar Turning 1: "It’s Crazy How Time’s Flew By"
The RHOA cast member opens up about her daughter with Dennis McKinley.
It was just yesterday that Porsha Williams welcomed her daughter, Pilar Jhena, into the world. Well, actually it was one year ago. The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member's daughter turned 1 this month, and while the plans for how to celebrate the milestone occasion may have changed in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Porsha knew nothing would stop her from celebrating her tot.
"[We] still got to celebrate a little princess, I can’t believe she’s even 1. Like, it’s crazy how time’s flew by," Porsha told The Daily Dish.
She then opened up how her plans for PJ's party changed given the current state of affairs in the wake of COVID-9.
"Well, we actually had a big party scheduled for her on Sunday. And I was kind of sad that we had to cancel it. But, you know, you definitely want to be safe and keep everybody healthy. So, we had to cancel. We postponed it, actually. We didn’t cancel it, we postponed it. We weren’t able to do that. So what we did was we had a party at the house [with family]. And we celebrated PJ," she said. "Tanya [Sam] sent us some beautiful cupcakes and Dennis [McKinley's] mom brought a cake and we had some balloons and so it was nice. It was really nice."
So, how does Porsha feel one year into her life as a mom?
"Being able to raise a little princess like PJ has been something that I’ve dreamt about for a very long time. And it’s just a big blessing. Like every day, every morning I see her, it’s like Christmas. It’s like oh my gosh, I can’t even believe that I get to be her mom and, you know, I think the most special thing is seeing her learn things. Her just learning how to walk right before her birthday and when she plays with her educational toys," Porsha said. "Just seeing her learn is just amazing to me."
