'Princesses' Star Ashlee White: I Had a Stroke
Ashlee comes clean about her health scare on the season finale.
On Princesses: Long Island, Ashlee White is always the life of the party. But on last night's season finale, she reveals that after an unexpected health scare last year, life was anything but a good time.
At Chanel Omari's apology ceremony, Ashlee opens up about suffering a stroke last year. "I lost my speech. I couldn't talk. I lost my balance. I was bed-ridden for eight months. I lost my short-term memory."
"I knew Ashlee was sick last year, but I never knew how bad it was," Amanda Berntoncini reveals. "Your health is everything."
Always the optimist, Ashlee learned the biggest life lesson from her experience: second chances are what really matter in life.
"I have took my second chance and I have made it into this life that is so worthwhile," she shares. "But it will never be the same."
Ashlee doesn't let Erica Gimbel, Amanda and Joey Lauren off easy. Their decision to spend the day on Erica's boat instead of rushing to her side left Ashlee crushed. The girls try to defend themselves and insist they were concerned, but Ashlee and Casey Cohen aren't convinced.
"When a friend is a friend, you would stand and take a bullet for that person," Casey says. "That's where the loyalty should be."
Even though Amanda, Erica and Joey insist they were worried about their friend, Ashlee is just thankful that she's safe and in good health. "I am so proud that I'm not on a milk carton."
