Inbar Lavi Says Her Prison Break Revival Role "Could Not Be More Relevant" Right Now
The #Imposters star gave a sneak peek at her upcoming role in the drama's highly anticipated return.
It's good to be Inbar Lavi. Not only is the Imposters star wowing us as cunning con artist Maddie every week, but the actress is also about to have another major TV moment. Inbar will appear in the highly anticipated Prison Break revival, which will feature Lincoln Burrows (played by Dominic Purcell) searching for his brother Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller), who was presumed dead. Expect to see the original cast of characters reunite to organize the most epic prison break ever, too.
Inbar joins the world of Prison Break as new character Sheba, a Yemeni activist, who is also described as becoming "involved with Lincoln," according to Deadline's announcement of the casting last March. The actress recently told The Daily Dish that her character's story "could not be more relevant to us right now. It is a crucial, highly important story that we have to share with the world. We have to give these people a voice now more than ever, and I am so, so, so delighted and proud to be able to be that voice for them."
Imposters' co-creator and executive producer Paul Adelstein will also be reprising his role as former Secret Service agent Paul Kellerman in the Prison Break revival. Inbar said she wasn't even aware that her Imposters colleague had been on Prison Break before she became a part of the revival cast, having only seen the pilot episode previously. "I've never even seen him on the show, so I didn't even know! Like, I signed on, and all of a sudden someone told me and I realized that he's on it. And it was just a big surprise and such an excitement," she gushed. "I actually got to see him on set one day in Vancouver. So we were both in our Prison Break costumes, and we were hugging and taking photos and reminiscing about Imposters and we couldn't wait to get back to set. It was so wonderful to have him there."
Lucky for us, Inbar has also given us a sneak peek of the Prison Break revival with some amazing photos from the set on Instagram.
Joining such a beloved series may be intimidating for some actors, but Inbar said she didn't feel any pressure in helping to bring Prison Break back to life. "No, I'm excited," she said. "It's such a thrill to be a part of such a big phenomenon. I'm honored."
For now, you can catch Inbar as Maddie and all of her personas Tuesdays at 10/9c on Imposters. Check out a sneak peek of Tuesday's all-new episode, below.
