Rachel Zoe Selects Her Valentine's Day Fashion Faves
The celebrity stylist tells you how to chicly celebrate February 14.
Chocolates and flowers are a snooze. The real fun of Valentine's Day is wearing your heart on a trendy sleeve... at least according to Rachel Zoe.
"Valentine's Day brings up a lot of mixed emotions for everyone — but my feelings are that no matter if you are single or coupled up, February 14th is just another day to flaunt your style. Right?" the Rachel Zoe Project star (who could quite possibly become a first time mommy on V-Day) tells FabSugar.
The fashion guru goes on to share her head-to-toe "to die for!" ideas: "While I am not one to condone an all-over red and pink ensemble — scary — I do think it is appropriate to ring in Cupid's day with a touch or two of the holiday's hues." Go neutral to make others go ba-nan-as: take a bold red dress and pair it with toned-down accessories. Or flip that and choose festive pieces to spice up a simple outfit. RZ recommends "sexy magenta stilettos, a crimson bow clutch, or other special accessory that you will be able to wear again and again. Love!"
Take another cue from Rachel and also hit up thrift shops for rare, haute finds. "Love a shopping spree 8 months preggers at the Vintage show with @Joeymaalouf and @jeremiahbrentt...so much damage!!" R tweeted yesterday.
