Reagan Charleston's Husband Reece Thomas Is Hospitalized Less Than 24 Hours Before Their Baby Arrives

Reagan Charleston has found herself in the hospital before she's due to give birth to her first child. The Southern Charm New Orleans mom-to-be's new husband, Reece Thomas, was hospitalized on June 11 after coming down with a case of appendicitis.

A very pregnant Reagan shared a photo on Instagram showing Reece laying in a hospital bed while getting treated for his ailment. "Less than 24 hours before I give birth — DID NOT think this guy would be in a hospital bed!! Perfect timing for a case of Appendicitis!!!" Reagan wrote in the post. "NBD. God has a sense of humor." 

Reagan then shared an update that Reece will have to be in the hospital for at least a week, which changes how he'll have to see the birth of his baby slightly. "They are going to wheel him up for the delivery," Reagan noted on Instagram.

Reagan began a new life with Reece, who she previously dated more than 10 years ago, following her divorce from husband Jeff Charleston after six years of marriage. Jeff met Reece for the first time earlier this season of Southern Charm New Orleans.

Reagan and Reece tied the knot and are now expecting their first child, a baby girl. “I immediately realized what I had in front of me — a second chance at love, at being happy, at a stable marriage, at having a family. I did not miss my chance to get on that boat,” Reagan told PEOPLE last month. “And yes, it wasn’t convention that I immediately was in another relationship after my divorce was finalized; I understand that. But when you know, you know. To stifle that or slow it down, it would have just felt like enormous regret.”
