The Greece trip took The Real Housewives of Atlanta to a whole new level. There were friendship makeups, shady moments, and an epic ruins-themed party that left the ladies in shambles. Tensions rose between Nene Leakes and Kenya Moore, resulting in a complete blowout and it had an effect on all the 'Wives. Lucky for us, we learned the inside scoop about that tense evening from the producers themselves — all thanks to a special enhanced version of Season 12, Episode 19 that aired on March 29.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Peacock and the Bravo App.

So, what actually went down behind the scenes during the RHOA ruins party fight? Read on to find out!

1. Porsha's Big Idea

So, what did producers think when Porsha Williams first came up with the ruins party idea? "Good luck! ... Nothing can happen with these ladies and not cause ANY drama," joke producers. Turns out, they were spot on.

2. That Raging Spit

After Nene spit at Kenya, a producer pulled her aside and told her to "stop it, before things escalate further." Out of all the shocking moments from Nene over the years, producers say spitting at Kenya ranks at "the top of the list."

Before Nene came back to the group, producers told her to "calm down." Thankfully, she listened.

3. Just In Case

Things got pretty heated that evening, but the crew had everything under control behind the scenes. Security was right off camera and standing by. There are multiple security guards who always travel with the ladies, so it's safe to say that everyone was well-prepared.

4. A Possible Pool Plunge?

The ruins party took place right next to a pool, swan floats and all. Although this particular location could be considered risky, producers didn't worry that anyone would end up in the pool during this fight, explaining, "They don't really love to get their hair wet, so there wasn't a real danger of that!"

5. What Do They Recall?

Some producers think Kenya has the most accurate memory when it comes to how things really went down, but other producers think Kandi Burruss and Porsha remember things best.

6. How Producers Handle the Drama

When it comes to situations like this one, where nobody can get a word in edgewise, the production team knows just how to keep up. So, what's their secret weapon?

"Years of practice," they admit. Producers are listening to the cast in one ear, and production crew in the other ear, noting that "it can get confusing."

7. Here, Kitty Kitty!

But, wait! Where were all of those cats we've seen casually roaming around the property throughout the trip? The felines, unfortunately, didn't bring any comic relief to this situation. "They were out of sight on the other side of the pool, so the women didn't see them," say producers. Maybe they're allergic to drama.

8. High Hopes

Porsha was so sure the ruins party would end with a hug, but producers were skeptical. With everything going on, the party actually ended around 2 a.m.
