Dorit Kemsley Explains Why the Real Housewives Are *Still* Talking About Pantygate
The infamous #RHOBH debate has taken on a life of its own.
The great Pantygate debate raged on when Andy Cohen welcomed Dorit Kemsley and her husband's client/friend/houseguest, Boy George, to the Bravo Clubhouse. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills newbie spoke about her part in the incident, which — for those in need of a refresher — started with Erika Girardi admitting to not wearing anything under her white dress, Dorit's husband, Paul "PK" Kemsley, catching a glimpse of her, um, lady parts, and Dorit gifting Erika with a pair of panties in front of the rest of the ladies as a joke.
Since this continues to be a topic of conversation on RHOBH with seemingly no end in sight, Andy asked Dorit if she felt responsible for the subject coming up. "Well, I did initiate the conversation with the girls, so I have to take responsibility for that," Dorit said on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. You know, as I learned, things sort of, as they come out of your mouth, they sort of take on a life of their own and then they escalate. Particularly within a group of women, you have to sort of be accountable for what you say."
Andy then said that many viewers wondered why Dorit seemed upset at Erika for not wearing panties but not at PK for peeking. "First of all, I never got mad at Erika at all. I mean, I simply said that if I was wearing a short dress and I didn't have any underwear on, panties, knickers, whatever you want to call it, I would've been extremely conscious that there's no view," Dorit explained. "I think it's a mishap that sort of happened. I had said that to the girls. Once we sort of had the discussion of it, I wanted to make light of it, and that's where the whole giving of the panties [came from]."
Well, Boy George seemed to enjoy the Pantygate talk while sitting next to Dorit on WWHL. He has also joined the Pantygate debate on Twitter.
At least all of the RHOBH ladies — and everyone on the planet, really — can agree on their love for Boy George and Culture Club. Relive the lovely performance, below.
