'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Cast 'Couldn't Watch' Last Night's Premiere

"It breaks my heart," Teresa tweeted.

Talk about starting with a bang. Last night's explosive season premiere of The Real Housewives of New Jersey kept fans riveted, and sent the cast back to days they'd rather not revisit. "I can not even bear to hear it in the back round it breaks my heart," Teresa Giudice tweeted from her RHONJ viewing/Fabulicious book launch party at the Tribecca in Fort Lee, New Jersey. She echoed the sentiment on her Bravotv.com blog, writing, "I don't feel like there was much to celebrate in this first episode. It was beyond heartbreaking to watch."

Meanwhile, over at the Brownstone, the rest of the 'Wives held court at their own RHONJ premiere party, where the newest cast members had an equally hard time reliving those combustible events. "I know some of the scenes were difficult to watch :( unfortunately there are many scenes in each of our lives we'd like to change channels!" Kathy Wakile tweeted from the event. Melissa Gorga added, "My heart is broken.... I can't watch...."

(See what the 'Wives had to say on the red carpet at their Brownstone premiere party.)

Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita were also on hand at the Brownstone premiere party, which was organized by Albie Manzo (who did a helluva job, hustling and bustling from room to room all night). Hundreds of fans eagerly showed up to the event, which benefitted To Write Love on Her Arms and the Wounded Warrior Project, and watched the explosive episode unfold on a giant projection screen inside the hall. The hubbys represented too, with Joe Gorga, Chris Laurita, Rich Wakile, and of course, Brownstone honcho Albert Manzo turning up, along with their families.

Despite the heavyweight premiere, the mood at the Brownstone was light, with fans grabbing photos with their favorite 'Wives during commercial breaks. And after the show concluded with that emotionally bombastic moment between Joe Gorga and his father, a familiar face stepped to the stage to lighten the mood. "Just revived 1,000 Jerseyites after the shock," Simon van Kempen tweeted after performing his single "I'm Real."
