In an Instagram post, she shared that while she was enjoying her trip in Hawaii, she had to first confront her longtime fear of the water. "I used to be so terrified of the water, after a near-drowning incident as a kid. Though I've worked to overcome that fear to a tolerable degree, Michael has helped and encouraged me to embrace the ocean. I'm so thankful to have a partner who helps me to grow and become stronger," Ashley wrote.

And it seems that the water did her some good: "Floating in the water was the most relaxing sensation ever. Baby weight was taken off of the body and I felt light as a feather. Very therapeutic," Ashley wrote.

Overcoming her fear of the ocean isn't the only way Michael has proved helpful lately. Ashley revealed she had an "elaborate shoot planned with a photography team and makeup" for beach photos, but the photographer canceled. Luckily, her hubby stepped up to the plate.

"Michael looked at me and said, don't worry babe we'll still capture the sunset. I'll take the photos. Now, my husband is quite a manly man who isn't a big fan of pictures. But without one complaint or any frustration, Michael took over 100 photos of Baby D and me. Of course I cried with appreciation and happiness. We come into this life alone and we leave it alone, but we can live it together. So thankful to have found a great partner who loves and supports me," she wrote.

Who knew Michael was such a talented photographer?! Take a look at the stunning beach photos he shot below, plus a selfie for good measure.
