This Is the Real Housewives Event Andy Cohen Really “Wanted to Go To”
The WWHL host revealed that an RHOA event “14 years in the making” is one he wishes he’d attended.
Spring, summer or September, Andy Cohen once missed a major The Real Housewives of Atlanta event to remember. In fact, the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host’s absence from the momentous occasion even topped his list of regrets over the course of more than 16 years of Housewives history.
“I have to say, of all of the Housewives events that have happened over the years, that Shereé Whitfield's She by Shereé fashion show… that’s the one I wanted to go to,” Andy told RHOA’s Kandi Burruss during the WWHL After Show on Sunday, September 18.
His reason? “Because it was 14 years in the making,” Andy explained, also sharing that he and Kandi “were texting a lot that night.”
Kandi, for her part, replied that Shereé “did an amazing job on the fashion show,” which was featured in RHOA Season 14’s September 4 finale episode. “The show turned out amazing,” she added. “We all were excited.”
Though Andy was surely missed, the long-awaited fashion presentation boasted a guest list that was a who’s who of Bravolebs across multiple franchises. In addition to Kandi and husband Todd Tucker, the other ‘Wives representing RHOA were Shereé’s fellow cast members Kenya Moore, Sanya Richards-Ross and husband Aaron Ross, Marlo Hampton, and Drew Sidora with husband Ralph Pittman.
Meanwhile, among the RHOA friends and alums in the audience were model Apollo Nida, who was joined by longtime partner Sherien Almufti, Monyetta Shaw and her husband Heath, DeShawn Snow, Fatum, Lisa Nicole Cloud, Peter Thomas, and Dwight Eubanks. Married to Medicine's Dr. Jackie Walters and Quad Webb also scored coveted invites.
Stirring up some unexpected drama, Shereé's one-time love interest Tyrone also showed up, though Kandi, for one, wasn’t privy to the nature of his appearance at the time. “When he walked in, I just assumed that they had made up already,” she told a virtual caller while visiting the WWHL Clubhouse. “The way he came in all smiling at everybody, I thought maybe they must be happy again and they must’ve made up, not knowing, until after, she was not feeling him.”
Regardless, everything went off without a hitch, and though this was the first She by Shereé fashion show, it hopefully won’t be the last. If for nothing else, that way Andy can make sure he’s sitting front row next time.
