See Why the RHOA and RHOC Casts Are Feuding
Which Real Housewives franchise will come out on top?
A Bravo crossover “feud” played out in Los Angeles over the weekend. But don’t worry — it was all for a good cause.
On Saturday, April 22, the casts of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Real Housewives of Orange County headed to Television City Studios to compete on Celebrity Family Feud. The Housewives provided plenty of sneak peeks at the upcoming episode, which will find RHOA’s Kenya Moore, Marlo Hampton, Shereé Whitfield, Drew Sidora, and Sanya Richards-Ross facing off against RHOC’s Heather Dubrow, Emily Simpson, Tamra Judge, Gina Kirschenheiter, Shannon Storms Beador, and newbie Jennifer Pedranti.
Celebrity Family Feud is a spinoff of the classic game show series. As its title suggests, the show features teams of famous faces competing to correctly guess the most popular answers to survey questions. But instead of playing for cash and prizes, celebrity contestants are aiming to raise money for charitable causes.
Marlo gave fans a little taste of what’s to come when she posted several photos of her game-day look. The Le’ Archive owner wore a neon green Monique Lhuillier design that was altered from a full-length dress to a mini. Her RHOA castmates also donned various shades of green that ranged from kelly to pale olive.
“Nobody wins when the family feuds…,” Marlo captioned the OOTD post.
Unlike the Atlanta Housewives, the OC ladies took a more individualistic approach when it came to their outfits. Photos from the day showed Heather rocking an off-the-shoulder green dress and Jennifer in a red spaghetti-strap gown. Shannon opted for a black tailored look, while Emily wore a bright blue bodycon dress.
Although Gina and Tamra both went with pink, their looks were very different. The former chose a long-sleeved sequined top with a matching miniskirt, while the latter came through with a retro-inspired pantsuit layered over a lacy bustier.
Gina also shared some behind-the-scenes looks at what went down during filming. She posted clips of herself and her castmates hitting the Family Feud buzzers; clapping to the show’s theme song; and taking photos with host Steve Harvey. The RHOC mom didn’t reveal the episode’s exact premiere date, but she confirmed it would air sometime before fall.
“If there is one [thing] this [RHOC] family knows how to do it’s FEUD!” Gina captioned the post. “[W]e had the best time today on [Family Feud]. Can’t wait for everyone to watch this summer!!!”
Shannon also posted some behind-the-scenes moments, including one with her ex-boyfriend John Janssen, who she got together with over the weekend (but was quick to clarify that they “are not back together”). She captioned the Family Feud pics, “Soooo much fun on the Feud this weekend!!”
This isn’t the first time Bravolebrities have appeared on Celebrity Family Feud. RHOA’s Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey went head-to-head on the charity game show back in 2017; and Andy Cohen, Bevy Smith, and Jeff Lewis took on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2020.
BTW, Season 15 of RHOA kicks off on May 7 (trailer at the top of the post) and Season 17 of RHOC begins June 7 (trailer below).
