Dorit Kemsley Reveals Where She Stands with Erika Jayne After Comments About Her Marriage to PK

The RHOBH cast member dished on how she and PK felt after Erika made some eyebrow-raising remarks.

All's well between Dorit Kemsley and Erika Jayne these days following some unexpected comments that Erika made at BravoCon 2022 during an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen regarding Dorit's marriage to Paul "PK" Kemsley.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

While Dorit admitted to Page Six that she and her husband were anything but "happy" following the statements, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member shared how she decided to put her friendship history with Erika ahead of any feelings, and she added that Erika was "apologetic" about the moment.

“You have to look at things in isolation and accept that we’ve also had a friendship for seven years,” she said, before sharing her philosophy on getting through the ups and downs of married life.

“Particularly in the town that we’re in, it’s really important in marriage … to maintain [communication, transparency, trust, and honesty], to keep those things close to your heart and make sure that you both stick to it,” she told the publication. “Laughing and having fun together is, for us anyway, definitely one of the things that keeps us together and close.”

In fact, when Dorit and Erika sat down together for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills After Show in Season 12, they revealed how the friends are able to rise above when things get dramatic. “There’s not always these rosy, shiny, sunshine moments, and you have to live it. And when you’re surrounded by the group of women, whether you are very close to them or not so close… we do manage to have fun and we do manage to laugh… even if you’re fighting with somebody," she said. It’s a distraction from some of the things that are going on in our lives if they are not so fun.”

Back on the PK front, Dorit is also quick to share mushy messages of affection in the public forum known as Instagram about her life with PK. "Twelve years ago I decided to share my heart with [PK]. 8 years ago today [on March 7], I married my soulmate. We may not always have it all together, but together we have it all," she shared. "I love you so much, baby."

PK, as it turns out, never misses a chance to gush about his wife. When they celebrated their wedding anniversary earlier this year, he wrote, "All love stories are great, ours is my favorite, Happy 8th Anniversary my love."

Weeks before that, timed to Valentine's Day, he shared, "You are beautiful, amazing, always loved, strong, capable, a mother, a wife, and today my Valentine … love you."

Dorit kept her Valentine's tribute to her husband to the point: "Forever and Always."

And, of course, PK was by Dorit's side when she hosted the 2023 event to benefit the Homeless Not Toothless Foundation. "Was a fun night at the Beverly Hills Hilton supporting [Homeless Not Toothless] … so proud of Dorit," he wrote. "Shout out to my friend [Paula Abdul] for supporting us, thanks to Taylor Dane for a very special performance, big shout out to my brother [Dre London] for his inspirational keynote speech, and thanks to all 350 of you who attended and help us raise money and awareness for an amazing organization that gives those who need it and can’t afford it a chance."
