Erika Jayne Explains Why She Forgave Mauricio and PK So Quickly but Not Sutton
The RHOBH cast member also revealed which Housewives from other cities have reached out to her.
Things are still tense between Erika Jayne and Sutton Stracke in Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills following the events of last season. And in the RHOBH Season 12 premiere, Sutton questioned why Erika didn’t seem to hold Mauricio Umansky and Paul “PK” Kemsley as accountable for cracking jokes about her situation in Season 11.
During her May 18 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Erika explained exactly why she was able to move forward more easily with Mauricio and PK than with Sutton. “I don’t know them. I don’t see Mauricio and PK as much as I see Sutton,” Erika said. “They also were, like, in and out. Every day with Sutton it was the pounding. It’s completely different. And no pounding with the two of them.”
Erika did confront Mauricio in the RHOBH Season 12 premiere, telling Kyle Richards’ husband that he had hurt her feelings. Mauricio apologized to Erika, and she accepted his apology.
Speaking of apologies, Sutton notably told Lisa Rinna on the May 18 episode of RHOBH that she was sorry for her comments about the Elton John gala during her visit to WWHL last year. Lisa agreed to put their drama in the rearview mirror, although Kyle and Garcelle Beauvais were not exactly buying their reconciliation at Harry Hamlin’s 70th birthday party.
And neither was Erika, who said she agreed that Lisa and Sutton had “the phoniest reconciliation,” as Kyle put it in the episode. “I know that Lisa was very hurt by that, what Sutton came on and said,” Erika said on WWHL. “And, you know, Lisa is someone that really needs to feel that your apology is genuine.”
Though Erika is still sussing out some of the dynamics among the returning Beverly Hills Housewives, she had a great first impression of newcomer Diana Jenkins, as we saw on the show. Erika shared more of her thoughts on Diana during her visit to the Bravo Clubhouse on Wednesday. “Love. Love Diana. Love everything about her, and I’ve gotten to know her, and she’s wonderful,” Erika shared. “She’s really solid. She’s a very solid person. I really like her.”
And during the WWHL After Show (clip below), Erika revealed which women she’s tight with from the other Real Housewives cities. “Kenya [Moore] and Kandi [Burruss] both reached out. Dorinda [Medley],” Erika said, later noting that she had also heard from other Housewives. “You know, when I think about the women that reached out to me during this, like, really dark moment in my life — and I really appreciate it, I really do — those are the women that come to mind.”
Sutton shouted out her friend Garcelle in advance of the May 18 episode of RHOBH, captioning an Instagram photo of the besties embracing, “When you know who’s got your back.”
