The model, who is the eldest daughter of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Lisa Rinna and actor Harry Hamlin, was diagnosed with PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections) when she was a child, and she has also dealt with the Epstein-Barr virus, encephalitis, and Lyme disease.

She posted an update on her health in an Instagram Story on January 24. Per People, the 24-year-old shared a close-up photo of an IV in her arm, and her caption referenced what she has been going through for “the past few years.”

“I haven’t really spoken on my health lately, [and] if you’re new here, you’re probably confused, but for the past few years, I’ve been struggling with autoimmune/chronic illness issues that I’ve been silently battling and overcoming. It’s definitely been tough mentally alongside physically,” Delilah shared at the start of the caption on her Instagram Story. “I’ve kind of kept quiet because I don’t want to be put in a ‘sick’ role.”

Amelia Gray Hamlin’s older sister added that she believes she’s “faced a lot” and “overcome a lot” for a reason.

“That reason is to share what I’ve gone through and what I’ve learned with you,” she continued.

Back in 2019, her mom shared that Delilah’s childhood PANDAS diagnosis led to “serious anxiety and multiple phobias,” but they were able to find “the appropriate therapies” to help her improve “over time.”

That same year, Delilah posted about her decision to seek treatment in 2018 following a “severely unhealthy relationship” and a battle with depression after moving to New York City.

In 2021, Delilah spent time in a rehabilitation facility again, and she celebrated six months of sobriety in February 2022. In November 2022, Delilah shared a positive update about how she was feeling on Instagram.

“I am so beyond thankful for where I am today,” she wrote. “Last year I didn’t think this would be possible in the slightest. I felt completely hopeless due to my health and quite candidly I wasn’t sure I would be alive today. Instead, today I am working towards making my dreams come true. Never give up. I always thought when people said that, it was annoying and cheesy, but I’m glad I didn’t give up.”

Delilah went on to note that she was “so thankful for [her] body,” for her friends, and for the ability to have “such a great support system.”
