Dorit Kemsley Reveals How She’s Doing Following the Emotional RHOBH Season 12 Premiere
The RHOBH cast member reflected on the 2021 home invasion and how she is doing today.
The Season 12 premiere of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills featured Dorit Kemsley dealing with the emotional aftermath of a home invasion that took place in 2021. Following the May 11 premiere episode, Dorit appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where she opened up about that time in her life, as well as how she’s handling it today as she watches it on the season.
“I’m getting through it,” she shared during her Clubhouse appearance, where she was joined by Kyle Richards, who showed her support for her longtime friend.
During her interview with Andy Cohen on Wednesday’s WWHL episode, Dorit offered updates on the case, as well as how she is coping today, above. During the WWHL After Show, Dorit also shared why she’s “so grateful” all these months later, below.
Prior to the episode’s airing, Dorit posted an emotional Instagram where she reflected on that time. “Tonight’s episode covers an incredibly traumatic event in my life. Having to relive it all again has triggered a lot of emotions…PK was still in London at the time and these phenomenal women rushed to my home upon hearing the news. The support of these women and the outpour of love I received from everyone was pivotal,” she wrote. “At the time, I was completely broken and doing my best to hold it together for the sake of my family. Waking up that morning and seeing these women in my living room gave me a sense of comfort and strength I thought impossible. As I relive this horrific event with all of you, it resurfaces the terror of that night, but equally resurfaces my gratitude and I know it’s the latter that will stay with me forever.”
Days before the premiere, Dorit posted a sweet message for her two kids, Phoenix and Jagger, timed to Mother’s Day. “Being a mother has been the truest pleasure, privilege, and joy I have ever experienced. I will forever feel grateful and BLESSED for the love, laughter, memories, hugs, kisses, lessons and wonder these munchkins give to me, daily,” she wrote. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the rock star mommy’s.”
