Lisa Rinna is opening up about the loss of her mom, Lois, about six months after her passing. In an emotional series of posts on her Instagram Story this week, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member shared some insight into that time in her life, during the filming of Season 12 last November.

How to Watch

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on Bravo Tuesdays at 8/7c and next day on Peacock. Catch up on the Bravo App.

On her Instagram Story, via People, she wrote, “Grief is a tricky little devil. In a week or so, my Mom will pass on the show and I am not looking forward to reliving this but I’m trying to accept what is.”

She continued, “I find it so interesting that rage has been so ever present for me during this time. I wonder if any of you have felt like that during the grieving process? I am having a very hard time but I’m trying to just allow space for all of the feelings. This is probably the hardest thing I have ever been through.”

Lisa noted that while she “felt really guilty having to go back to work a week after my mom died,” she explained why she did it.

“Yes our show is a job, and it is my job to show up and so I did. I don’t remember a lot of the time spent on the trip to Mexico, it’s a total blur. I was in shock most of the time but my Mom would have wanted me to go and be with the women and I’m glad I did,” Lisa wrote. “They were all so amazing and so supportive. It’s very odd to me to know that I will be sharing my grief process on the show but I’m actually so glad I did and do. I’ve had so many beautiful messages from so many people because grief is something that we just aren’t taught to talk about and I think it’s my job to really share my experience so I’m gonna share it all with you. It’s not easy.”

Lois passed away last November. “Lois DeAndrade Rinna / June 7, 1928 - November 15, 2021 5:05am / Heaven Has a New Angel,” Lisa shared on Instagram at the time. She posted the tribute alongside a throwback black-and-white photo of Lois. The news was confirmed just days after Lisa shared with fans that her mom had a stroke.

RHOBH viewers got to know Lois over the years, and she definitely emerged as a fan favorite. Lisa’s mom made several notable appearances on the series, sharing with viewers insights into her life as well as her loving relationship with her famous daughter and family.

Since her passing, her memory lives on as Lisa has shared many memories of her mom and has been candid about her ups and downs following the loss.
