“Those who have followed our story probably aren’t surprised to find out how difficult attempting to create a ‘modern family’ is. For the protection, integrity and love for my children, that’s all I will share as I navigate this new chapter,” she said. “I will always have so much love for the family we created that will continue to flourish and thrive.”

Together Braunwyn and Sean have seven children: Bella, Rowan, Jacob, twins Caden and Curren, Koa, and Hazel.

RHOC fans will recall that Braunwyn and Sean have been quite open about their ups, downs, and everything in between. Braunwyn came out as a lesbian in an interview with GLAAD back in December 2020Sean quickly showed his support for her. “For over 25 years I have loved and supported you, and I’m not about to stop,” he wrote on Twitter at the time. Braunwyn later opened up about navigating their “modern marriage” and they later confirmed their “trial separation” in August 2021.

More recently, Braunwyn has shared updates on her life and her “modern family.” Just weeks ago, she shared a family photo with her kids and Sean, writing, “Family first! No matter what’s going on it’s so important to remember this! Co-parenting isn’t always easy, but so glad we can keep these family traditions going!!!”

She is also dating again and posted a photo with her partner, Jennifer, earlier this month. “Happy International Lesbian Day. When I came out [two] years ago I was so nervous to say those words, I was scared how my comfortable, safe life was going to be forever altered,” she wrote. “And while it’s been hard (beyond hard), the upside has been the most beautiful and authentic life beyond my wildest dreams. Coming out late in life is interesting, it’s like having a second chapter in life that [is] technicolor and filled with wonder! Cheers to breaking boxes into confetti ! I love you [Jennifer] and the life we’re creating!”
