Gina Kirschenheiter on John Janssen's Comments: "I Feel Like He Was Making It Worse"
Shannon Storms Beador also explained her boyfriend's reaction at Dr. Jen Armstrong's party on RHOC.
We saw the conclusion of Shannon Storms Beador and Gina Kirschenheiter's conversation at Dr. Jen Armstrong's party in the March 23 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and the women weren't the only ones who got a little fired up.
After an emotional Shannon filled her boyfriend, John Janssen, in on the words that were exchanged during the discussion, he was none too happy with Gina. "That is the most ridiculous comment," John said after dropping a few F-bombs. "She's not your friend. We're done with her. Who the f--k does she think she is? Ridiculous."
Gina said that she "didn't like" seeing that moment between Shannon and John when she appeared in the March 23 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. "It's inappropriate. I understand you're there to support someone, but I feel like he didn't even know the other side of that conversation," she said. "And your partner's role as a supportive person is to get you out of the situation and maybe have a private conversation at home."
She added, "It should be the goal to try to make it better, and I feel like he was making it worse."
Gina shared a similar sentiment while reacting to the moment in The Real Housewives of Orange County After Show, which Bravo Insider members can view exclusively, above. "I think it's gross. I think it's horrible. It's the exact opposite of what he should be doing," she said, later adding that it was "super uncomfortable" to see it take place in front of other guests at the party. "It just all seemed very inappropriate and wrong to me. I mean, I get him wanting to support Shannon, but I don't see that as proper support."
However, Shannon said that she appreciated how much John had her back that night. "John is very supportive to me, and I'm not used to that. I'm not used to someone, a significant other, partner, husband, whatever, jumping to my defense for things," Shannon shared in the RHOC After Show, below. "So, you know, when discussing with him that [these] different things that Gina has said about me or to me, he doesn't like it. He knows that I'm hurt by it, and he's supportive. He doesn't want to see me hurt."
Heather Dubrow and Emily Simpson also know what it's like to have your significant other get involved in the group's drama. So, what did they think about John's comments? Sign up for Bravo Insider, above, to find out.
