Jo De La Rosa’s family just got a little bigger. The Real Housewives of Orange County alum has recently welcomed not one, but two new kittens into her household, as she confirmed in a recent Instagram post.
On June 2, Jo took to Instagram to introduce her “new Russian Blue babies,” sharing several precious of the two kittens playing and sleeping around the house. In the caption, Jo revealed how she came to adopt her new pets.
“If you missed their heartbreaking story, @tarangraymusic heard these littles crying at 2AM stuck in a vent in my building garage. Neighbors came down to help rescue them,” she wrote, also adding, “We were only going to keep them long enough to get them socialized and back to healthy with all their shots but we absolutely fell in love.”
Jo went on to conclude, “Welcome to the family our new Russian Blue babies, Kovu and Kai (short for Kiara). We’re officially keeping them.”
Jo credited her boyfriend Taran for coming up with the names of their furry friends, which are a reference to The Lion King. “I’d love to take the credit but it was Taran’s adorable idea,” she wrote, also adding hashtags that read “welcome home” and “it’s a boy and a girl.”
Jo first introduced her beau to her followers last fall. In an Instagram post in October, she revealed that the two met virtually and kept in contact for months before finally meeting in person.
““Found this pic of our first time ever meeting after 3 months of COVID dating over a screen! Can you tell how excited we were to finally meet in real life?” Jo wrote at the time. “I think I’ll keep him!”
