Danielle Cabral Sets the Record Straight on Her Family Feud Amid Questions from Castmates
Jackie Goldschneider and Margaret Josephs are among those questioning The Real Housewives of New Jersey newcomer.
Drama surrounding a family feud broke out on the March 21 episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey — and no, we’re not talking about the one between Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga. This time, it was Danielle Cabral who found herself being questioned about her strained relationship with her brother.
The Season 13 newcomer has long been open about the falling-out — which she said occurred when she blocked her brother on social media because he was making fun of her — but several of her castmates said they think she’s “leaving out a big piece of the story,” as friend Jackie Goldschneider put it.
Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs agreed with Jackie when she brought up the topic of Danielle during lunch, but the conversation about the siblings didn’t end there, because Jackie once again brought it up during Melissa’s luau party. And in the middle of Jackie’s discussion with Melissa, Margaret, and Jennifer Fessler, Danielle overheard what they were saying and naturally got upset.
“I hate hearing my name in conversations that I’m not involved in,” she shared, adding in a confessional, “It brings me back to my childhood when girls would bully me. It was really tough. I’m getting the same feeling.”
Danielle was especially emotional because her castmates were talking about not only her but also her family. Not to mention insisting that “there’s another side to the story” besides her own. As she put it, “When it comes to my brother, that’s my truth. I opened up to these women about something that affects my soul, and now people are questioning my character?”
As the episode continued, Danielle maintained that the situation with her brother is as straightforward as it sounds. She did the same when appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen earlier this month, insisting that there’s no “deeper reason” why they aren’t speaking.
“It’s the truth,” she said, adding that as of today, the relationship is “still not good.”
Andy Cohen said he hoped Danielle’s brother would watch the show and potentially reach out, and she expressed a similar sentiment. “I hope more of the story is told, because I don’t come from a place of hate; it’s just love,” Danielle said. “I hope that he sees that.”
Regardless, she’ll “never give up” on their relationship, she concluded.
