We Were Not Expecting Frank Catania’s Memories of a Very NSFW Christmas with His Family

Frank Catania is sure to get coal in his stocking after this confession.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband joined Joe Gorga and Joe Benigno to look back at holidays past as part of BravoTV.com’s RHONJ Husbands Holiday Cocktales video series, and he ended up telling a story that, as he jokingly put it, may or may not get him “arrested.”
The tale — which took place several years ago — begins with Frank; his son, Frankie; his daughter, Gabby, and his nephew Benny driving home from New York City one December. “They had one of those triple X stores on Route 17,” Frank says, going on to reveal that he stopped at said store to “buy my sister a vibrator.”
The details are enough to send both Joes into a laughing fit, but as Frank explains, the best part of the story hasn’t even happened yet. “We go and the whole family’s over,” he continues. “We’re opening gifts, and I see [Benny] give her the gift… Best thing is, my sister’s all happy — he’s 12 years old, he never gives a gift. Normally she’s buying all the gifts for everybody. But the worst thing, which I didn’t anticipate, is my sister’s in-laws are there watching.”
“She opens up the gift and she don’t know what it is at first, but then I realize she realizes what it is when she sees the packaging,” Frank says. “And she’s like, ‘What the f--k?’ And I’m like, ‘Why are you looking at me?!’”
And yes, the in-laws caught a glimpse of the gift too. “Needless to say,” Frank adds, “the rest of Christmas dinner that day was very awkward. Very awkward.”
